SURVEY OF AMERICAN POPULAR MUSIC: This course is a basically a Popular music appreciation course. Many styles of music are covered in a course I designbed to be a thorough introduction to style of American Popular Music.
THE APPAREL: When I started at Cabrillo, I decided to wear a sports coat and tie as a way to avoid being mistaken for a student. Years later my attire become the subject of lots of jokes as I am the only music teacher dressing in this fashion for daily classroom teaching.. In defense of continued wearing of semi-formal attire: I have always found that wearing tie will get you noticed plus, the guys at the gas station started calling me "sir". |
