MY EXPERIENCE: I have been teaching guitar lessons in the Santa Cruz area since 1988 and have taught in almost every conceivable format. I have experience in a wide variety of styles. I teach Classical, Rock, Jazz, Folk and other styles to all levels and all ages.

MY APPROACH: My first goal is to make sure the student is inspired to pick up the guitar and play it. I customize my lessons to meet the needs of the individual students while emphasizing solid technical skills. I do this by combining material that students want to learn with the fundamentals of guitar technique and musicianship to keep motivation and inspiration at a high level.
